Free

I have had my Kindle for a few years now and for the first couple of them; never paid for a book. That's not to say that I didn't have plenty! There are a ton of great sites for getting books delivered to your tab for no cost.

Don't have a Kindle? No worries! You can download a free Kindle app for your phone that let's you access these same books, anywhere you want!

These have been a lifesaver for me on camping trips and long car rides!

Amazon

Go straight to the source! Amazon has their own page of totally free books. These change often, so if you see a book you want, you'd better grab it before that price rockets back up!

Pixel of Ink

Amazing for providing notifications of free & discounted books! They sort through the Kindle ebooks to provide you the best bargains for each subject. It's easy to find what's relevant to you, because they do all the wading for you. There is a Bargain Bin, with books under $1 and a Hot Deals section where you can save upwards of 80%! They even have a website for free Christian ebooks called Inspired Reads. Connect through Facebook or Twitter for updates, or subscribe to their daily email so you don't miss out. They also have a Kindle delivered blog. Remember, these ebooks aren't normally free, so you want to find out ASAP before the price changes! Nothing worse than reading your email at night, seeing a great book you want shown as free, only to go to Amazon and see that the price has gone back up!

OverDrive

Did you know you can also rent books from your local library? IF your library has a subscription to OverDrive, you can rent free ebooks in the same manner that you rent paper books. Even better, because when your rental is up, the book will be removed from your Kindle - you don't have to bring it back! Check out the Library Search function on their website to see which locations in your area provide this service.

BookLending

BookLending is similar to OverDrive except that you don't need to go to a library to use it!

Register for free and you be able to borrow books that other individual's are loaning or loan one of your Kindle books. Each book can only be loaned once so if you see a title you want, get it before it's gone.

With this service, books will be borrowed for 14 days and then will be automatically returned to the owner.

Project Gutenberg

Over 45,000 Kindle books are available for free download at Project Gutenberg. This is an excellent way to catch up on old classics and discover new favs. You can view recently added, search for specific titles that you want., or even view by category!

More to be added soon! Stop back by for updates and new special offers!
