When you need a little help being independent...

Am I the only one who has trouble with a standard tire gauge?

I am not exaggerating when I say I gauge the same tire a dozen times trying to get the same reading. How do you know how much pressure to apply? Am I holding it right? Did I leave it on there long enough?

I recently had trouble with a tire that had a knot on it. We were waiting for a good payday (and, ok I'll admit; I was procrastinating so I didn't have to lug the 2 & 4 yr old in to get it done and wait in walmart where they want everything and suddenly forget the meaning of the word NO.)

So every other day or so my low pressure light was coming on in the car and of course I was having visions of blowouts and crashes. I spent a ridiculous amount of time poking at my tires and digging for quarters at the Speedway to make sure everything was as close to even as I could manage. What a headache. I honestly thought: you know what? I take back all the feminist views I have expressed and would hereby like to leave all this work to a MAN. Preferably my husband, but if a hobo or carnie had approached and offered to take over, I probably would have settled back into the driver's seat, locked the doors, cracked a window-and let HIM handle it.

You know what I can handle? Online ordering that arrives in 2 days.

NorthONE(TM) Digital Tire Pressure Gauge

Where was this little gadget then? It makes it so. much. easier. It's lighted, so I can easily pull the trigger day and night (because you know when the sun goes down every trip is just that much more nerve-wracking.

Orange. Because hey, I'm lucky I can find the pedals some days in the mobile space my children and their junk are trying to take over. I try to always keep it in the glovebox-but it catches the eye so it can easily be spotted in whatever place its hiding in (or under).

It functions well and it's just nice to take all the guesswork out of it. This is one tool I can call my own, because if my husband is going to take every cheap $1 gauge I buy then, well he can have it. I earned a break after over-gauging all 4 tires for an hour in the rain last month so you know what? I deserve this.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
