A while back I posted about the limited time coupon for $25 off a $50 order. I am having a Scentsy Open House tomorrow and I needed to get some refreshments-so I figured it was as good a time as any to use it up (before I forgot to use it at all!)
Before I went in I took a moment to look through the coupons that had been sent to us from Kroger, since our shopper card is registered. There were some real treasures in there. To begin, there was a $3 off $15 in produce, so I decided I would throw together a veggie tray. I had also snagged a coupon online for a free tub of Pillsbury Gluten free cookie dough, so I added that to my list. I figured I would be in there for a while so I took a moment to check the Kroger app on my phone in the coupons section and load a few that I might need, just in case; and prayed they would be on there long enough to be applied at checkout!
When I went through the doors I saw that they were having a Buy 6, Save $3 sale, so I grabbed a flyer with the participating items and made a mental note to look for those stickers.
Once I grabbed broccoli, cauliflower & carrots, I was near my $15 mark for my produce coupon, so I threw in some bananas & clementines for my family. I noticed they had our all time favorite ranch dip, Litehouse, on sale for 2 for $5, so I snagged one of those as well. In the bakery section, I found some potato bread rolls on closeout for 79 cents. I never miss a good opportunity for a markdown, or potato bread for that matter, so that went in the cart fast. Right beside the bakery, in the specialty cheese cooler, was a Hormel tailgating tray marked down to $6.49, and since I was going to put together something similar, I figured I may as well cheat and take it home instead, saving myself time and money. Hey, I needed to get to at least $50 for the coupon anyway!
I won't bore you with the next hour or so, because I was mostly bouncing back and forth from one end of the store to the other, as I always swear I'm not going to end up doing...but I did put together quite the savings. General Mills cereals were part of the buy 6 deal, some down to $1.39, and I also had a $1.50 off 3 Kroger coupon, as well as a 75 cents off Chocolate Toast Crunch digital coupon, making that one better than free!
Here were my buy 6 items:
3 Cereals~ $1.39e deal before 2 coupons
Pillsbury Grands biscuits $.99 deal
Kraft Cheese $1.50 block
Kraft Slices $.99 deal with $1 coupon attached (off 2)

65 cents off Kroger Tortilla Chips $1
95 cents off 2 Big K 12pks (4/$9 ie 2/4.50=2.25e)
After adding milk, eggs, and other necessities, my total came to over $100. My digital coupons brought it down to about $63, and after the additional $5 off $50 that came from Kroger, the produce and other print coupons I had found in store, it came down to around $45!!
Works for me!
